Novarad

Although we can interface with existing teleradiology systems, Plains Radiology Services (PRS) uses and recommends the advanced Novarad teleradiology platform as the foundation of services. The Novarad system consists of a picture archiving and communication system, NovaPACS, and a radiology information system, NovaRIS, used internally by PRS. Our reports are generated using a voice recognition package, allowing us to reduce turnaround times and automate the distribution of reports back to your facility.

Because of the investment PRS has made by installing Novarad in our practice, our partner facilities are eligible for reduced pricing on new NovaPACS installations. NovaPACS provides dual, on-site, seven-year archives, and through PRS you’ll also get redundant off-site storage and disaster recovery. The system is easy to learn and completely customizable. All images and reports are available anytime, anywhere, via browser or iPad. The full diagnostic viewer is available from any PC in the world and is feature rich. 

Plains Radiology Services’ IT team can assist with facilitation of your Novarad installation and ongoing support. NovaPACS also comes with lifetime upgrades for both software and hardware at no additional cost, meaning your PACS will never become obsolete or non-compatible.
